Human-Centered. Morally Ordered. Technologically Ambitious.
Civerum’s philosophy of technology begins with a simple ordering principle: technology was made for man; man was not made for technology.
That is not an argument against innovation, industrial development, artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, biotechnology, advanced manufacturing, or scientific discovery. Civerum strongly favors technological advancement when it is developed and used properly. Civerum’s concern is not with the existence of powerful tools, but with the philosophy governing those tools, the institutions controlling them, and the purposes toward which they are directed.
Technology is an instrument created by human beings to extend human capacity, overcome material limitations, reduce unnecessary burdens, and improve the conditions under which people live and work. It should help people do things that would otherwise be impossible, difficult, dangerous, wasteful, or needlessly time-consuming. It must therefore remain subordinate to human life, human dignity, moral responsibility, and the objective order of truth.
Jesus said that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. The Pharisees had taken something intended for human good and transformed it into a rigid system under which human beings were expected to bend and suffer. They had reversed the proper relationship between the institution and the person it was meant to serve.
Technology is obviously not the Sabbath, and human invention is not equivalent to divine ordinance. The parallel concerns the relationship between means and ends. Something created to serve a legitimate human purpose should not become a master demanding that human beings reorganize themselves around it.
A system created to save time can gradually consume more of it. A platform created to connect people can restructure human relationships around advertising and behavioral manipulation. A machine designed to assist workers can become an instrument for measuring, monitoring, and controlling them. A government database established for administrative convenience can evolve into an architecture of surveillance. Artificial intelligence designed to strengthen human judgment can be treated as a substitute for judgment, accountability, and moral agency.
The central question is therefore not simply what technology can do. The deeper questions are what technology is for, who controls it, what assumptions are built into it, and what conception of humanity governs its use.
Civerum’s technology philosophy and Civerum’s political philosophy begin at the same place: with an understanding of human nature.
Human beings are not blank material waiting to be programmed by institutions. They are not economic units, demographic categories, data profiles, biological machines, or components whose value can be calculated according to productivity and usefulness. They are created beings possessing inherent dignity, reason, moral agency, responsibility, creativity, relational obligations, and spiritual purpose.
That means no government, corporation, algorithm, university, group of experts, or technological institution possesses the legitimate authority to redefine human beings according to the needs of a system. Institutions must be designed around the realities of human nature rather than attempting to reconstruct human nature around institutional objectives.
The technocratic mind tends to view society as an engineering problem. It sees human beings as variables, behavior as something to be predicted and managed, and political life as a system that can be optimized by sufficiently intelligent administrators. Disorder is attributed to inadequate information, insufficient measurement, irrational personal choices, or a lack of centralized coordination.
Civerum rejects that assumption.
Human beings are moral agents, not programmable components. Society is not a machine, and politics is not simply a branch of systems engineering. Human behavior contains motives, loyalties, passions, virtues, sins, obligations, traditions, loves, resentments, sacrifices, and relationships that cannot be reduced to data without losing much of what makes them human.
Technology can help identify patterns. It cannot explain the whole of man.
An algorithm may detect what a person frequently buys, reads, watches, or discusses, but it does not therefore understand that person. It may estimate his probability of taking an action, but it does not possess a full account of his motives, responsibilities, convictions, or moral worth.
When institutions forget this distinction, they begin to treat people according to categories rather than as persons. The worker becomes a productivity score. The borrower becomes a risk profile. The student becomes a collection of performance metrics. The patient becomes a billing code. The citizen becomes a predictable pattern of movement, spending, association, and political behavior.
A humane technological civilization must refuse that reduction.
Technology has no independent moral purpose. It is a means through which human purposes are pursued.
Artificial intelligence can help diagnose disease, or it can assist in constructing a surveillance state. Facial-recognition technology can help locate a missing child, or it can identify political dissidents. Data analysis can expose corruption, or it can be used to manipulate voters. Social platforms can connect families, or they can turn attention, emotion, and personal relationships into commodities.
The sophistication of a technology reveals very little about the morality of its use.
A civilization can become more technically advanced while becoming morally disordered. It can possess faster computers, more efficient factories, more powerful weapons, more accurate predictive systems, and more comprehensive information networks while losing any coherent understanding of truth, justice, freedom, family, duty, restraint, or human dignity.
Technological capability is not the same as civilizational wisdom.
For that reason, Civerum rejects the assumption that innovation is automatically progress. Progress requires movement toward something worth reaching. A society that becomes more efficient at manipulation, surveillance, censorship, addiction, or social control has not meaningfully advanced simply because the machinery involved is impressive.
A highly sophisticated system can still serve a primitive appetite.
Human beings can build technologies of extraordinary complexity and use them to exploit greed, vanity, lust, fear, envy, anger, resentment, loneliness, and addiction. The sophistication of the instrument does not sanctify the motive.
The question must always remain: What legitimate human good is being served?
Technology is at its best when it extends human capacity, preserves knowledge, reduces dangerous labor, improves health, increases productivity, strengthens communication, broadens opportunity, and returns time to human beings. It is at its worst when it becomes an excuse for stripping people of privacy, responsibility, independence, agency, or constitutional protection.
Technology should remain an instrument under human authority. Human life should never become raw material for sustaining the ambitions of the technological system.
One of the central dangers of the technological age is what Civerum calls the Techno-Supremacy Doctrine.
This doctrine is not simply enthusiasm for technology. Civerum is enthusiastic about technology. It is not support for artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, automation, robotics, data analysis, scientific research, or large-scale engineering. Civerum supports the energetic development of all of them.
Techno-supremacy begins when technological capability is treated as a source of moral and political authority.
It is the belief that those who build the most powerful systems have somehow earned the right to determine how society should be organized around them. Because a company possesses the engineers, computing infrastructure, capital, data, and models necessary to operate at the technological frontier, its leaders begin to regard themselves as uniquely qualified to decide the future of work, education, communication, commerce, government, and even human identity.
Technical achievement becomes a claim to sovereignty.
The doctrine often presents itself through the language of inevitability. Artificial intelligence is coming whether society approves or not. Automation will restructure employment whether workers are prepared or not. Digital identification, pervasive data collection, algorithmic management, and machine-mediated decision-making are treated as unavoidable stages of history.
The public is not invited to reason about the direction of development. It is told to adapt.
This language is politically significant. Once a technological outcome is declared inevitable, the people pursuing it are relieved of the burden of justifying it. They no longer need to persuade society that the outcome is good. They need only convince the public that resistance is futile.
The Techno-Supremacy Doctrine therefore contains a form of technological determinism. Technology is no longer treated as something human beings create, direct, restrain, and judge. It becomes an autonomous historical force before which workers, families, communities, businesses, and governments are expected to yield.
That is a philosophical sleight of hand.
Machines do not march through history by themselves. Algorithms do not build data centers, purchase political influence, collect personal information, rewrite employment practices, or establish corporate policy. Human beings make those decisions. Specific institutions make them under particular incentives, legal structures, economic pressures, and conceptions of human purpose.
Civerum rejects the claim that technological development absolves its architects of moral responsibility.
When a corporation claims that automation made a particular decision unavoidable, someone still chose how the automation would be used. When an institution says that an algorithm produced an outcome, someone selected the objective, the data, the model, and the conditions under which its recommendation would carry authority.
When executives say that competition forced them to collect more personal information, manipulate attention, or impose increasingly invasive systems, they are still describing human decisions made in pursuit of particular interests.
Technology can alter the range of available choices. It does not eliminate moral agency.
Techno-supremacy also creates a new kind of priesthood.
The ancient priest claimed privileged access to the divine. The modern technocrat claims privileged access to the future. He possesses the models, proprietary systems, technical vocabulary, projections, and institutional credentials through which the rest of society is told it must understand reality.
Expertise is necessary. Complex systems cannot be responsibly governed through ignorance, mass impulse, or hostility toward specialized knowledge. Civerum rejects the shallow populism that assumes technical competence is inherently suspicious or that an uninformed opinion carries the same practical weight as demonstrated mastery.
Expertise, however, is not sovereignty.
An engineer may understand how a system works without possessing the moral authority to decide how society should live under it. A computer scientist may build an extraordinarily capable model while holding an impoverished view of human nature. A corporate executive may understand technological scale and capital formation while remaining blind to the effects of his decisions on privacy, family life, local institutions, political freedom, or human dignity.
Knowledge within one domain does not produce wisdom across every domain.
The technological priesthood often confuses intelligence with judgment. Because its members can solve difficult engineering and mathematical problems, they may begin to assume that moral, social, and political questions are simply larger optimization problems.
Human disagreement becomes noise. Tradition becomes inefficiency. Constitutional restraint becomes friction. Local variation becomes a failure of standardization. Moral objections become technical misunderstandings to be corrected through better messaging.
The population is then divided into those who supposedly understand the future and those who must be managed through the transition.
That is not enlightened government. It is technocratic paternalism.
Civerum’s reading of Amy Webb’s The Big Nine helped sharpen Civerum’s concern about the degree to which ordinary people generate the data powering systems over which they exercise little control. Karen Hao’s work on the emerging empire surrounding frontier artificial intelligence further illustrates how these systems depend upon vast concentrations of capital, computing infrastructure, energy, water, intellectual property, and human labor.
These observations reveal something deeper than corporate concentration. They reveal the tendency of technological empires to view the world primarily as a collection of extractable resources.
Land becomes a site for data centers. Water becomes a cooling input. Energy becomes compute. Human expression becomes training material. Workers become annotators, moderators, evaluators, and temporary components in the construction of systems intended eventually to reduce the need for their labor.
Users become streams of behavioral information. Communities become jurisdictions in which infrastructure can be installed, incentives obtained, and resistance managed.
The human being remains present within this system, but not always as its beneficiary. He may appear instead as a data source, labor source, consumer, attention supply, risk profile, or subject of behavioral prediction.
That is the practical expression of techno-supremacy: human life reorganized around the appetite of the technological system.
Civerum does not accept the collectivist conclusion that all private ownership, profit, scale, or concentrated expertise is therefore illegitimate. Large technological projects often require large institutions. Semiconductor fabrication, advanced model training, aerospace engineering, pharmaceutical research, energy production, and national communications infrastructure cannot always be built through small and informal organizations.
Concentration can be functionally necessary without becoming morally supreme.
The problem is not that a company becomes large because it has created something valuable. The problem arises when its size allows it to control markets, information, standards, public policy, and human behavior without meaningful accountability or competition.
The problem is not expertise. It is the transformation of expertise into unanswerable authority. The problem is not profit. It is the treatment of every human activity as material available for profitable extraction.
Opposition to techno-supremacy must not become an excuse for transferring technological power wholesale from corporations to government.
A state can embody the doctrine even more completely than a private company. A corporation may know what people purchase, view, search for, and discuss. A technologically centralized government may combine that information with tax records, health information, legal records, biometric identity, travel, employment, benefits, property ownership, political activity, and access to financial systems.
The merger of bureaucratic authority and technological surveillance is not a cure for corporate power. It is the construction of a more comprehensive power.
Civerum’s answer is therefore neither corporate supremacy nor state supremacy. Civerum’s answer is constitutional authority, competitive markets, enforceable individual rights, institutional accountability, dispersed technological capability, and a clear distinction between expertise and legitimate political power.
Companies should be free to innovate, compete, profit, and grow. They should not be free to deceive users, conceal material risks, appropriate personal information without meaningful consent, collude with government to suppress lawful speech, or use market dominance to prevent genuine competition.
Government should protect rights, enforce contracts, punish fraud, secure critical infrastructure, and address legitimate national-security threats. It should not become the owner, operator, and final judge of the technological systems through which citizens conduct their lives.
The purpose of law is not to make government supreme over technology. It is to prevent any institution from becoming supreme over man.
Techno-supremacy ultimately offers a false salvation.
It promises that enough data will overcome uncertainty, enough computation will overcome human limitation, enough automation will overcome scarcity, and enough intelligent administration will overcome political disorder. It treats technological progress as a substitute for moral, cultural, and spiritual order.
This is another version of an old human temptation: the belief that mankind can build a system powerful enough to escape the truth about mankind.
Technology can increase material abundance. It cannot eliminate greed. It can improve communication. It cannot create honesty. It can expose information. It cannot force wisdom. It can optimize institutional processes. It cannot make unjust people just.
Technology can place enormous power into human hands. It cannot make those hands morally worthy of possessing it.
A fallen human being does not become incorruptible because he is assisted by an advanced computer. A corrupt institution does not become righteous because it is driven by data. A badly ordered government does not become legitimate because its administration is technologically sophisticated.
Technology magnifies capacity. It does not redeem character.
This is why Civerum’s biblical and political philosophy cannot be separated from Civerum’s philosophy of technology. A realistic understanding of human nature requires skepticism toward concentrated and unaccountable power, whether that power is exercised through a throne, bureaucracy, corporation, financial institution, media platform, or artificial intelligence system.
The doctrine asks the public to trust the builders because they understand the machinery. Civerum insists that the machinery and its builders remain subject to truth, morality, law, human dignity, and the proper division of authority.
The engineer must answer to the moral order. The corporation must answer to law and the market. The government must answer to the constitutional order and the people. Technology must answer to mankind, and mankind answers to God.
Work has moral, economic, and social importance. Productive labor helps people support themselves, provide for their families, cultivate discipline, contribute to society, and develop useful abilities. A healthy civilization should encourage work, responsibility, and self-support rather than permanent dependency.
That does not mean every existing job must be preserved forever.
Many jobs exist because a necessary task has historically required human labor. The occupation is often secondary to the underlying need. Society does not fundamentally require people to stand at cash registers. It requires transactions to be completed. Society does not require people to spend entire days transferring data between forms. It requires information to be recorded accurately.
Society does not require workers to perform physically destructive movements thousands of times. It requires goods to be manufactured and distributed.
When technology can perform these tasks more safely, accurately, or efficiently, preserving the task simply because someone was once paid to do it confuses employment with purpose.
Human beings were not created to spend their lives completing repetitive activities that machines can perform better. Technology should release human intelligence, creativity, judgment, and initiative from needless drudgery.
Very few people wake up with a burning desire to stack identical boxes for ten hours, repeat the same mechanical motion on an assembly line, enter the same information into multiple incompatible systems, or process hundreds of nearly identical transactions. People perform these tasks because they need income and because the task must presently be done.
That work is not dishonorable. Honest labor has dignity because the human being performing it has dignity. The dignity belongs to the person, not to the perpetuation of every repetitive function that has ever existed in a labor market.
The economic transition created by automation must still be taken seriously. Workers cannot be treated as disposable simply because a machine becomes available. A business that benefits from automation should deal honestly with employees, provide reasonable transitions where possible, and avoid reducing people to costs on a spreadsheet.
The long-term objective, however, should not be to preserve every obsolete task. It should be to build an economy in which people can move toward more productive, skilled, creative, relational, and meaningful forms of work.
Automation should enlarge the sphere of human possibility rather than reduce people to permanent economic dependence.
Time is among humanity’s most valuable earthly resources. Technology that genuinely returns time to human beings has done something profoundly useful. It has not simply increased production. It has expanded the portion of life available for family, community, craftsmanship, study, creativity, worship, invention, and the pursuit of wisdom.
The problem is that organizations do not always use productivity gains in that manner. A company may automate half of a worker’s administrative burden only to fill the recovered time with additional monitoring, performance metrics, mandatory communications, and algorithmically assigned tasks.
The worker does not become freer. He becomes more measurable.
Technology should not simply help institutions extract more activity from each minute of human life. It should reduce needless labor and make room for higher uses of human ability.
Artificial intelligence is among the most powerful tools humanity has developed. Its ability to analyze information, identify patterns, generate language, model systems, automate processes, and support decision-making will reshape nearly every industry and institution.
Civerum’s position is neither blind enthusiasm nor reflexive fear. Artificial intelligence should be developed energetically, used intelligently, and governed according to clear moral and institutional limits.
AI is most valuable when it augments human capability. It can help doctors process medical information, engineers test designs, businesses identify inefficiencies, governments improve public services, researchers examine complex data, students explore difficult subjects, and ordinary people gain access to forms of expertise that were once expensive or inaccessible.
The danger begins when artificial intelligence is granted authority that properly belongs to morally accountable human beings.
An algorithm can calculate risk, but it cannot bear moral responsibility. It may recommend a prison sentence, deny a loan, rank a job candidate, flag a citizen, allocate medical resources, or identify someone as a threat, but it cannot answer for injustice in the way a person or institution can.
People must not be permitted to hide behind machine outputs while claiming that no human decision was made.
Every consequential automated system must remain traceable to human authority. Someone must be accountable for its design, assumptions, training material, implementation, use, and consequences.
Artificial intelligence should inform judgment. It should not abolish judgment.
This is especially important because AI systems can produce an appearance of neutrality. A decision delivered through a model may seem scientific or objective because it is expressed mathematically. The output, however, still reflects chosen objectives, selected variables, underlying data, institutional incentives, and human assumptions.
An algorithm can reproduce injustice at extraordinary speed while allowing the people responsible to claim that the system itself made the decision.
No machine should become a moral alibi.
Artificial intelligence can show people how to accomplish a stated objective more efficiently. It cannot, through computation alone, determine whether the objective ought to be pursued. It cannot establish the moral order by which its recommendations should be judged.
That responsibility remains human.
Privacy is not merely a consumer preference. It is one of the practical conditions of personal freedom.
A person who is constantly observed will eventually modify his behavior according to the expectations of the observer. Surveillance does not need to produce an immediate punishment to exert control. The awareness of being watched is itself disciplinary.
Modern technology allows governments and corporations to collect unprecedented amounts of information about individuals: their locations, purchases, communications, relationships, interests, beliefs, habits, finances, movements, health concerns, and emotional responses.
This information is often described as anonymous, aggregated, or harmless. In practice, enough data points can create a remarkably intimate portrait of a human life.
Civerum’s political philosophy is suspicious of concentrated power because human beings are fallible, self-interested, and susceptible to corruption. The same reasoning applies to concentrated data. A government agency, large corporation, or technology platform possessing enormous quantities of personal information possesses a form of power that can easily be abused.
Good intentions do not eliminate this danger. Institutions change leadership. Laws change. Business models change. Political circumstances change. Data collected for one purpose can later be repurposed for another.
The proper standard should be data restraint. Institutions should collect what they genuinely need, explain why they need it, secure it rigorously, limit access to it, and dispose of it when the legitimate purpose has ended.
Human beings should not be forced to surrender the details of their lives simply to participate in ordinary society.
Consent must also be meaningful. A forty-page privacy policy that almost no ordinary user can realistically understand is not a serious form of informed consent. A person should not have to choose between abandoning modern economic and social life or surrendering indefinite rights over his personal information.
Privacy is not the right to conceal wrongdoing. It is the right to maintain a sphere of life that is not permanently exposed to institutions possessing greater economic, political, and technological power.
A free society requires room in which people can think, speak, associate, experiment, repent, and change without every action becoming a permanent entry in a behavioral archive.
Government has a legitimate role in protecting rights, maintaining public order, enforcing contracts, defending the country, and providing certain forms of infrastructure. Technology can help government perform these functions more efficiently, transparently, and competently.
It can also make government far more intrusive.
Digital identity systems, centralized databases, programmable currencies, facial recognition, predictive policing, automated eligibility systems, and large-scale data integration can create administrative convenience. They can also establish the machinery for comprehensive social control.
The danger is especially serious when government combines financial information, health records, travel activity, communications, political associations, biometric identification, tax records, and employment information into integrated systems.
A state possessing that degree of knowledge can regulate human life without relying on traditional and visible forms of coercion.
A bank account can be restricted. A permit can be denied. A person can be algorithmically classified as a risk. Access to transportation, employment, benefits, financial services, or public institutions can be conditioned upon compliance.
This is why constitutional limits matter in the technological age.
Rights must not disappear simply because violations are committed digitally rather than physically. Unreasonable searches remain unreasonable when conducted through databases. Censorship remains censorship when outsourced to private platforms. Discrimination remains discrimination when concealed inside an algorithm.
The Fourth Amendment should not become irrelevant because a search is performed through metadata rather than by entering a home. Due process should not disappear because an automated system made the first determination. Freedom of speech should not depend upon government agencies pressuring technology companies to suppress lawful expression on their behalf.
Technology must operate within the constitutional order. The constitutional order must never be rewritten around the convenience of technology.
Government should use AI to improve permit processing, infrastructure planning, fraud detection, administrative efficiency, and access to public information. It should not use AI to create an unaccountable system of behavioral classification, predictive punishment, political monitoring, or automated denial of rights.
The state is not made legitimate by becoming technologically sophisticated. A digital tyranny remains a tyranny.
Civerum’s political philosophy favors the dispersal of power because concentrated authority tends toward abuse. This principle has direct application to technology.
A decentralized technological environment gives individuals, families, businesses, local governments, and voluntary institutions more ability to choose the systems they use. Competition allows bad tools to be rejected and better ones to emerge. Open standards reduce dependency. Interoperability prevents users from becoming trapped inside a single platform.
Centralized systems often promise efficiency, but efficiency is not always worth the loss of resilience and freedom. A single dominant platform can determine what speech is visible, what businesses can reach customers, what applications are permitted, what information is considered legitimate, and what behavior is allowed.
Decentralization introduces friction, but some friction is protective. It prevents one error, failure, or abuse from controlling the entire system.
The same principle applies to artificial intelligence. Access to advanced AI should not remain permanently concentrated within a small number of corporations or government agencies. Smaller businesses, independent developers, researchers, municipalities, and ordinary citizens should be able to use, adapt, and build upon these tools.
Technology should distribute capability rather than consolidate dependency.
This does not mean every system must be small, local, or open-source. Certain technologies require scale, extensive capital, centralized infrastructure, or highly specialized expertise. The principle is that scale should not automatically become exclusivity, and infrastructure should not become an excuse for permanent domination.
People should be able to leave a platform without losing their digital identity, records, relationships, or economic livelihood. Businesses should be able to compete without obtaining permission from the dominant firms they challenge. Public institutions should avoid dependence upon proprietary systems that cannot be audited, transferred, or replaced.
A technologically resilient society requires alternatives.
Private enterprise is one of the greatest engines of technological development. Entrepreneurs identify needs, accept risks, organize capital, and create products that government committees would rarely imagine and even more rarely execute efficiently.
Markets are especially effective because they allow dispersed knowledge to operate. Millions of people make choices, experiment, compete, fail, adapt, and discover better ways of doing things. This process produces innovation more reliably than centralized planning.
Civerum’s support for free enterprise does not require the pretense that every profitable use of technology is good.
Markets operate inside a moral and legal framework. Fraud, coercion, theft, manipulation, and abuse do not become legitimate because they are profitable. A company does not possess an unlimited right to exploit addiction, deceive users, conceal risks, or harvest personal information without meaningful consent.
The answer is not comprehensive bureaucratic control. Excessive regulation can protect dominant firms by making competition prohibitively expensive. Large companies can absorb compliance costs that destroy smaller competitors before they ever reach the market.
The better approach is clear law, enforceable rights, genuine transparency, meaningful competition, and personal accountability.
A free market is not a moral vacuum. It functions best within a culture that values honesty, responsibility, restraint, reputation, property rights, contractual integrity, and human dignity.
Technology companies should be free to innovate. Individuals should also be free from becoming their raw material without informed consent.
Antitrust law, fraud law, contract law, privacy protection, and the defense of property rights should be applied carefully and consistently. Regulation should target identifiable harms rather than granting bureaucracies open-ended authority to control technological development.
Government should not choose winners, subsidize favored corporations indefinitely, or use regulation to build public-private cartels. A close alliance between powerful companies and administrative agencies can be more dangerous than either institution operating separately.
The market must remain competitive, and government must remain constitutionally limited.
A healthy society is not composed merely of individuals and the state. It is sustained by families, churches, neighborhoods, businesses, civic associations, and local institutions.
Technology should strengthen these relationships rather than displace them.
A communication platform is useful when it helps families remain connected. It becomes destructive when it replaces embodied relationships with permanent digital performance. Educational technology is useful when it expands access to knowledge. It becomes harmful when it weakens the relationship between teacher and student or trains children to experience all learning through screens.
Remote work can give families greater flexibility and help revive communities outside major metropolitan centers. It can also dissolve the boundary between employment and private life if workers are expected to remain continuously available.
The proper evaluation of technology cannot be reduced to efficiency or convenience. It must ask what technology does to families, habits, attention, childhood, friendship, worship, local commerce, and community life.
A technology that makes transactions faster while making human relationships thinner may be efficient without being beneficial.
This is particularly important when considering children. A child should not be treated as a captive source of attention, behavioral data, or advertising revenue. Technologies designed for children should be evaluated according to their effects on development, concentration, emotional health, social maturity, and family authority.

Real access includes the ability to understand, choose, leave, compete, build, and own.

The decisive factor is not the machine. It is the philosophy governing the machine.

The machine is not sovereign. The algorithm is not wise simply because it is complex. Efficiency is not morality. Convenience is not freedom. Innovation is not progress unless it moves human life toward something worth becoming.
